1. Booking:

When ordering, the customer is sent a written rental agreement per. e-mail with relevant tour information and the following terms. This must be confirmed and accepted and returned with an electronical signature to make the boat rental agreement valid.
An invoice will be issued with a due date equal to the date of the trip and this must be paid before the boat trip takes place.
Minimum rental duration is 2 hours.

2. Price:

Price for the tour will be as stated and accepted in the rental agreement and apply to the number of people the tour is confirmed for.
If there is cancelations within the group, we must be notified before the invoice is issued to get the tour price reduced. (About 14 days in advance.)
After the invoice is sent, the price will not be reduced if there are fewer guests than the tour is booked for.
If you want to bring additional guests exceeding the number the tour is booked for, you will receive an additional invoice for these.

3. Cancellation:

Cancellations can lead to direct loss of sales and income for Fjordtokt, as a date has been held and other customers may have been rejected. Therefore, we operate with cancellation compensation. All cancellations must be made in writing per. e-mail and the following provisions apply after the conclusion of the rental agreement:

- If canceled within 30 days in advance of the trip, 100% of the sum paid will be refunded.
- If canceled less than 30 days in advance of the trip, 75% of the sum paid is refunded, or the customer is billed 25% of the contractual price if the trip has not yet been paid.
- If canceled less than 14 days in advance of the trip, 50% of the sum paid is refunded, or the customer is billed 50% of the contractual price if the trip has not yet been paid.
- If cancellation is shorter than 7 days before trip, 25 percent of the sum paid is refunded, or the customer is billed 75% of the contractual price if the trip has not yet been paid.
- If cancellation is shorter than 3 days before the trip there is no refund and the customer is billed for the entire contractual amount if the tour is not yet paid.

- A cancellation insurance can be purchased for an additional 10% of the total price. This will apply right up to the time of departure from the boat's home port. The insurance exempts the above rates if canceled by the customer. (Note that departure time from the boat's home port is considered one hour before the start of the tour for most piers in the Oslo area, unless the start of the trip is at Lysaker. Then the cancellation insurance can be used up to the agreed time for the start of the tour.)

4. Vessel Rent:

Vessel hire includes captain, fuel consumption and passenger insurance.
The rent is valid from the agreed time until the last passenger is ashore.
In the case of empty driving, ie pick-up or docking at a place other than the boat's home port (Lysaker) or in proximity to the center of Oslo, a driving supplement is calculated based on time consumption to pick-up / return to home port, which corresponds to NOK. 1000 pr. hour. (Additional zone prices)

5. Dining:

Passengers are allowed to bring whatever they want to eat and drink on the tour.
It is currently not possible to buy any food or refreshments on board.

It's absolutely possible to bring along and enjoy reasonable amounts of alcohol.
Passengers heavily influenced by alcohol will be denied entry at the pier.
If a passengers condition or behavior goes beyond safety or well-being on board, the captain has the right to order him/her down below deck, put passengers ashore or shorten or cancel the trip at any time, due to safety at sea, without any kind of compensation to the customer. So, be nice, behave and dont get too drunk!

6. Responsebility / Disclaimer:

The company has passenger insurance through Norwegian Broker.
The captain has all necessary certificates and courses to carry up to 12 passengers.
Boat and equipment meets the requirements of "Regulations of operation of vessels carrying 12 or fewer passengers, etc." from the Norwegian Maritime Authority. The company does not take responsibility for damaged or lost clothes or items, but keeps them for 14 days to be collected.
The shipping company also disclaims any claim for loss of life, injury to person or object that can be validly waived under the Maritime Law chapter 6, or other losses due to damage or other breakdowns.
Otherwise, liability limitation applies Maritime Law, chapter 9.

Swimming, jumping and diving from the boat are allowed, but at your own risk.

If the captain is injured or ill, the vessel must be taken out of service because of damages / improvements or other reasons such as force major (war, emergency, natural disaster, etc.) and this prevents the company to carry out an agreed boat trip, this will override the contract agreed upon and full reimbursement of the paid sum will be given. Fjordtokt will not be held responsible for providing the customer with alternative transport / charter or covering any kind of financial loss or damage suffered by the customer due to the above circumstances.

7. Weather:

Unfortunately, Fjordtokt is not master of the weather and it may be that the route must be changed to a different route than planned, shortened or in worst case be canceled if, according to the captain's safety assessment, it is not justifiable to make the trip. (Something that is very unlikely to happen in the inner Oslo fjord.)

Fjordtakt cannot be held liable if the customer chooses to cancel due to the weather and the current cancellation terms will take effect. (See point 2.)
However, cancellation insurance can be purchased at an extra of 10% of the total price and bad weather could be a typical use of this.

8. Other:

Fjortokt will take pictures along the way for use in marketing and these can be posted on websites, facebook, instagram and possibly other social media and advertising channels. If it is not accepted, this must be notified.

Finally, we also remind that we do not use the sea as a garbage can so all waste is stored on board and thrown away when we are back on land.
